New Outpatient Procedure Erases up to 10 Years Instantly

(PRWEB) May 14, 2005

A revolutionary outpatient procedure called the QuickLift™ tightens sagging skin in the lower face in a minimally invasive way and offers patients significant improvement immediately afterwards.

Dominic Brandy, MD, a Pittsburgh-based board-certified cosmetic surgeon and developer of the QuickLift, has revamped the traditional facelift by offering patients marked results without a lengthy recovery. According to Dr. Brandy, some patients are treated on a Friday and return to work on Monday or Tuesday with a more youthful appearance and improved self-esteem.

The QuickLift is performed under local anesthesia and takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on the patient’s degree of skin laxity and the physician who performs the procedure.

“There are three primary differences with the QuickLift, when compared to conventional lifting techniques, said Dr. Brandy. “The QuickLift involves smaller incisions, purse-string sutures are used to tighten the subcutaneous musculature and prolong the result, and the procedure is done under local anesthesia, which minimizes the risk of complications. The results we’ve achieved for our patients have been quite dramatic, and very predictable.”

Who is an ideal candidate for a QuickLift™?

The QuickLift is suggested for healthy men and women between the ages of 45 and 65+ with excess skin along their jaw lines and under their chins. Additional procedures, such as liposuction of the neck or eyelid surgery, can be performed with a QuickLift to address other conditions including double chins and excess skin above or beneath the eyes.

Is the technique medically proven?

Variations of the QuickLift have been performed for more than 30 years. As with any surgical procedure, recovery time and results vary with each doctor and patient.

Will visible scarring be present?

Most patients who have adhered to proper post-op care state that the incision lines are virtually undetectable. This may be possible because the incision lines are carefully planned along the sideburn area, behind the tragus of the ear and around the earlobe toward the nape, and suturing is performed under magnification to ensure more precise closure.

Key Laser Institute Founder Develops New Non-Invasive Face-Lift Procedure

Portland, OR (PRWEB) August 2, 2004

Imagine cosmetic surgery without the bandages, scars or long recovery time. Dr. Douglas J. Key, founder of the Key Laser Institute for Aesthetic Medicine in Portland, Oregon has developed a new non-incisional procedure, Gentle Lift™, which lifts the skin from beneath the surface restoring its youthful appearance. Traditional face-lifts rely on pulling the skin, but Gentle Lift™ is about lifting the skin by suspension. Dr. Key will share his research on reversing facial aging at the American Society of Dermatological Surgery meeting in San Diego in September.

Dr. Key was the first physician in the Pacific Northwest to begin using surgical “thread” implants, developing his own unique procedure for this amazing treatment. He places tiny ‘threads’ of suture material beneath the skin gently lifting the skin. Patients opting for the Gentle Lift™ treatment experience minimal recovery time, often returning to work after a weekend of rest. Additionally, the technique does not involve bandages and leaves no scarring.

“As part of the research and development team for Thermage®, I am more impressed with the results of the Gentle Lift™ procedure,” says Dr. Key. “Thermage® does a great job of bringing back the natural tightness of the skin on the face and neck, but Gentle Lift™ begins where Thermage® leaves off, and actually lifts the cheeks and jowls back to their natural position. Gentle Lift™ results in an energetic and youthful look.”

Orange County Facial Plastic Surgeon Introduces New True High Definition Face and Neck Lift Technique

Orange County, CA (PRWEB) November 11, 2010

BY adopting a new muscle tightening technique called ?Double C-Lift? for face lifting; a California facial plastic surgeon is pioneering a breakthrough mini face lift that provides a durable, natural-looking lift and a quick recovery for the patient. The procedure is done under local anesthesia.

“For nearly 4 years, we surveyed 1,535 of my facelift patients, and we found that the revision rate on an average was less than 1 percent,? reported Dr. Kevin Sadati to his colleagues at the 10th International Symposium of Facial Plastic Surgery?s Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

In an interview after the Florida conference, Dr. Kevin Sadati, a board certified facial plastic surgeon, in Newport Beach, California talked about his latest breakthrough in facial rejuvenation. It is believed that his technique is truly the next generation of high definition facial rejuvenation without the prolonged recovery associated with a traditional face lift. He went into detail about the double C-plication (tightening of the facial muscle) technique, which offers several advantages over other mini facelift techniques. Dr. Sadati clarified his technique by saying, ?I use a double-layered SMAS plication (facial muscle tightening) sutures, which creates multiple fixation points, and ensures that over time the tissue will stay in place and not lead to early tissue laxity.?

Dr. Sadati, Orange County?s premier facelift surgeon, developed his technique after a number of his early mini face lift patients came back for revisions due to tissue laxity in the jowls and neck area. ?I decided to change my technique to something that would avoid failure of the plication (muscle tightening). In my abdominoplasties (tummy tucks), I was using a double-layered muscle tightening, and despite great forces exerted in the abdomen, my muscle tightening did not fail, and I thought perhaps I could apply that same technique to the face.?

During this interview, he explained to us that, ?In order to learn how to apply this double layered plication technique to the face, I did cadaver studies and discovered it was possible to adapt the same plication technique used in an abdominoplasty to the facial muscles. I learned to apply a gradual tension with various vectors (direction) on the muscle, therefore there is less pulling on the corners of the mouth and more tightening on the jaw lines, as well as the neck area, making it very natural looking.?

?This creates a uniform, natural tension on the muscle, and gives a smooth look without having a pulled mouth or having any tissue bunching at the hairline. This procedure also lifts the jowls and provides an excellent neck lift. He adds that, ?this technique improves any kind of neck; from a neck with minimal laxity, to the heaviest and the most difficult neck.?

He performs the procedure in the Newport Beach Center for Surgery, Orange County, while patients are awake, using local anesthetic, Lidocaine and tumescent infiltration. Patients also receive oral sedation with Valium and Benadryl. Since there is minimal bruising, no drain is necessary, and the exterior sutures are absorbable.

He presented some data on 1,532 patients whom he has followed for an average of 1.5 years to a maximum of 3 years. Of these patients, 110 had undergone previous face lifts by other plastic surgeons. The post-surgical complication rate was low, with no facial nerve injuries. There was a revision rate of less than 1%. The low revision rate is the best indication of his technique?s success; he told us and went on to add, ?The most important result is the high patient satisfaction rate.?

Dr. Sadati has been invited to premier plastic surgery conventions such as American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and American College of Osteopathic Otolaryngology & Facial Plastic Surgery, in order to educate other plastic surgeons on his revolutionary face lift technique. He performs well over 1,000 facial procedures a year, making him one of the foremost sought after face specialists in this area. He is often asked to lecture on his renowned ?Double C? lift technique to other face lift surgeons. This revolutionary technique gives his patients a younger and more refreshed look without that ?pulled? or ?artificial look?. His patients describe the positive responses they get from friends and co-workers who tell them constantly, that they ?look so great!”

?It?s very important for patients to have realistic expectations and to understand the risks and benefits of any procedure,? said Dr. Sadati. ?Patients should understand that this procedure will not change who you are, but will refresh and restore your face.?

Dr. Kevin Sadati provides his expertise in variety of facial plastic surgery area to his Southern California patients. These include his renowned Fat Grafting with PRP also known as Stem Cell Face Lift, Rhinoplasty, also known as a Nose Job, Eyelid lift and Forehead Lift.
